Free Wi-Fi Everywhere inside Europe

Travelers in Europe won’t have to worry about those pesky roaming charges for long. The EU has vowed to provide free Wi-Fi access to all its members by 2025, spanning parks, libraries and other public spaces. They also outlines proposals to abolish roaming fess and install 5G connectivity.

One of the main goal is to create 2 million new jobs across the union as part of the continued effort to keep up this new system. The plan, which currently has a budget of €120 million ($134 million) to fund installation costs and equipment, will start providing EU towns considered the “main centers of public life” with access by themselves 2020, eventually stretching to rural areas with patchy Internet access or communities lacking the funds to install Wi-Fi hotspots.
